The School Day
Our pupils should assemble in the school playground, except on wet mornings, before going into school. A member of staff will be on duty from 8.45 onwards. Parents are requested to arrive in sufficient time for their son/daughter to line up with the other children and say their goodbyes in the playground. This makes for an orderly start to the day. Our school wishes to encourage parents to feel part of the school, but would politely request that discussions with class teachers are held at the end of the day.
The school bell will be rung at 8.55 for the children to be in class in time for the beginning of the morning session.

BREAKTIME
The children have a mid-morning break each day and may bring a healthy snack. We would like to encourage healthy eating by requesting that fruit is brought. Three members of staff will be on duty in the playground to supervise the children at play. Children will not be allowed to eat crisps or chocolate bars/biscuits at break-times. Free fruit is distributed to the younger children for their afternoon break
LUNCHTIME
The school 'dinner ladies' try very hard to ensure that all the children enjoy this part of the day. We expect good behaviour and good manners, and a respectful attitude, both in the dining hall and in the play areas. The mid-day assistants currently organise and supervise the lunchtime procedures.
